F Emasculata covers two phobias in one: insects and deadly infections. It does so in the most wonderfully eery way.

In part, the episode has its work cut out for it because a theme it explores does not leave much space for plot holes, like an episode about demons would. The simplicity makes it work. But even so, the execution of the premise is excellent, and the acting is good for most part.

This is also one of the few episodes where the government confidentiality theme is being explored properly, that is the moral dilemma of withholding information and thereby preventing panic versus releasing the information and thus exposing those responsible. This is something that keeps coming back throughout the series, but the arguments for or against are usually either not convincing or even non-existing.

A good edge of the seat episode.
